Inspection & Maintenance

Utilisation of drones for inspection provides for cost effective visualisation of process plants and equipment safely and at speed. Vizabl drones provide high definition images up to 20 Mpix with 3 x lossless zoom and 4k video. Autonomous inspection flights can provide overlapping images for resultant processing into orthomosaics and digital models.

The use of drones can remove the people factor from certain hazardous environments and situations such as deep excavations, equipment at height, fragile roofs, over water or in confined spaces for example.

Vizabl staff are BOHS P402 and P405 qualified for asbestos survey and management where required.

Thermal inspection cameras allow future failures to be spotted early and maintenance to be planned more effectively. Images and video from inspection flights establish reference points for future comparison.

Planning

Covid prevented design engineers from entering the UK from Europe to design a new process facility. Drones were deployed to model the area such that design and planning could be done remotely, saving money and time.
